I am offering a half or possibly more part shares in my Joshua Tree property, like a co-op. I am also offering camping, as I still have it, currently.
I want to make it into an MCS retreat, a place where MCS people and Moldies can escape and camp. I would also like to add some rental cabins, more water lines, more solar/electric hook-ups, and shade structures.
I know that when I was trapped in a moldy house for four years and had nowhere to go, it would have been great to even have a safe cabin or campground to go to, but I had nothing. When I finally got it, my friend who was supposed to do the work to make it a live work space and MCS camp had a family issue and had to leave the state.
I have tried for four years to replace him and his work to no avail, not at the "friend price" anyway.
I have lived through horrible mold poisoning twice in the last 28 years, full-blown MCS for 22 years, but I am still standing and can work and be present to do this. I do what I say I will, I'm trustworthy and skilled, but short on funds.
I feel this is a great opportunity and that the place is good for what I wanted originally and will help "us" by providing a place we can go, even temporarily, to get out of bad housing, and I feel it will be a good "job" for me. I did not survive the hell I have been through to do nothing and perish. Here are some pics of the land and the building that is on it. It could be a big community room for the retreat/campground.
The property is in Joshua Tree, CA. It is 4.5 acres of flat, fully fenced land, 5 miles and 5 minutes from town, yet has no close neighbors. It has a well, paid for solar system, water catchment system, generator, propane tank, septic tank, and an 1849 sq. ft. accessory building, all built in 2018 and fully off-gassed. And as it is a “blank canvas,” there is nothing you need to rip out. The building can be a garage, storage building, workshop, or converted to living space/ live work space, or you can build a house on it, too.
As I DO NOT want to lose the place or sell it to a "normie" necessarily, I am offering shares, half would be great, to anyone who does have the funds and the will to see this dream to fruition. Otherwise, I will have to sell the entire property, so part or all of it is for sale.
