Ballylagan is a 120-acre family farm in rural south east Antrim, yet within easy reach of Belfast and transportation links. As an overnight guest or farm shop customer, we look forward to welcoming you.

Accommodations

• The apartment above the farm shop sleeps up to 4 people.
• The bedroom contains a double bed with a high quality mattress and organic cotton bed linen.
• The sitting room has a double sofa bed.
• The compact kitchen is well equipped with a cooker, four electric hobs, a fridge and microwave. In fact everything you need to prepare a meal. We provide some groceries (organic of course!) to start you off.
• Adjacent to the kitchen is a separate toilet/shower room with organic towels and toiletries.
• The apartment is on the first floor accessed by an external staircase.

Facilities

• Take a stroll along one of our two farm walks (1km and 1.5km) taking in recently planted woodland, a variety of farm animals and the water turbine intake.
• On-site horseback riding.
• Private garden.
• High speed Wi-Fi throughout.
• Bicycles available for hire.
• Happenings around the farm – there is frequently something of particular interest, such as new born stock – just ask. You may also want to see the water turbine in operation. Again, just ask.
• On site there is also the Farm Shop. There is always something good to eat!

Organic Farm Shop
open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Wednesday - Saturday

The farm shop is the sole outlet for all our home grown produce; beef, pork, bacon, eggs, seasonal fruit and vegetables. To augment our own home grown produce, we buy in a range of fruit and vegetables every week from our organic wholesaler.

We stock (almost) everything you could possibly need to live an organic and sustainable lifestyle. Our grocery selection is large, everything from baking ingredients, to premium quality chocolate, pasta and rice to tinned soup. The chilled section stocks all manner of dairy products including milk, cheese and ice cream. We also have a wide selection of frozen vegetables. In our household section there is a large array of environmentally friendly cleaning products, and on a more personal level we stock a range of organically certified soaps, shower gels, shampoos and lotions.

Location

We are located in the heart of rural South Antrim in Northern Ireland -- only 25 minutes from both Belfast airports, 20 minutes from ferry ports (Larne and Belfast) and 15 minutes from the Causeway Coastal Route. The Belfast Titanic Quarter, a ‘must see’ destination for many guests, is only 25 minutes away.
